Functional makeover of the restaurant at La Fontaine aux Bretons in Pornic.
In line with the philosophy of this long-standing establishment, we focused on reuse and recycling throughout the project. Most of the furniture was preserved and partially updated. A sofa, several chairs, and various decorative accessories were sourced second-hand or from flea markets.
We also created a new lighting atmosphere using unique pendant fixtures—including one crafted from an old ladder found in the barn. Additional decorative elements were added, and the walls were repainted in more contemporary tones to bring a fresh, modern touch to this traditional inn.
Small actions, big impact was the guiding principle behind this mission!
A former unused kitchen, previously used as an office by the restaurant team, has been given a second life as a private wine tasting room.
This space can now be reserved for professional meetings. A custom wine cellar was designed to match the glass partition previously created in the restaurant dining area. The walls were repainted in a deep wine-red shade to set the tone. An existing table was restored and raised to bar height to accommodate guests comfortably.
Finally, we designed a custom glass partition to enclose the mezzanine beneath the exposed beams—a space that was rarely used. Special attention was paid to sound insulation, making it a comfortable new office for the team.
